Born and Brought up in kerala in a reputed orthodox christian family. Grandson of Cheruvatur idungan vareed who was a karmayogi - well in yoga and formulating Ayurvedic medicine for his and friends use Dr. SAGY C.CHERUVATUR done initial schooling in kunnamkulam, Bethany St.Johns English High School. After Pre-degree at Guruvayoor Sree krishna college joined professional course B.A.M.S(Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine and Surgery) in Madras University and attained the title 'Ayurvedacharya' in1993. then joined M.V.V.V.V.P(Maharishi Veda Vigyan Viswa Vidhyapeeth) Noida New Delhi for speciality training in Transcendental Meditation, Yoga and Panchakarma. While 6 months in M.V.V.V.V.P Noidu the Vast range of books in the library given me a vast insight in the sushruthu samhitha. Eventhough the practical surgery said by sushrutha declined, the same sushrutha samhita lot of therapies are mentioned which is equivalent to surgical intervention; one among that is poultice fomentation (upanaha swedam) mentioned for treatment of degenerative diseases. So we can term this as 'Ahimsa salya chikitsa' (Non-Violence Surgical Treatment)
